Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia, is 31 km from Agia Efimia and is definitely worth a day trip. An afternoon walk on the "lithostroto" makes for great shopping and relaxing cafes. Kefalonia's two caves, Drogarati and Melissani, have taken thousands of years to form. The multi-colored stalactites and stalagmites are a visit sure to remember.
The beautiful Monastery of St. Gerasimos is a must-see. Close by, the old church, which is built above the tomb and cave where the Saint lived, holds the Saint's relics.
Further north the village of Fiscardo is a recommended trip for our visitors. This venetian style town is known for it's pretty harbor filled with fishing boats, luxury yachts and daily cruisers. Fiscardo was the only village in Kefalonia not affected by the earthquake in 1953, showing off the islands original beauty.

There are some very unique and beautiful beaches in Kefalonia, where visitors can swim and sunbathe for hours.
Kefalonia's north coastline has small, clean, pebble beaches, while the southern shores are long and sandy.
Myrtos Beach is the trademark of Kefalonia and is considered the most beautiful beach on the Ionian Sea. This impressive beach has fine, golden sand and wonderful turquoise waters and it is only 10 Km from "Verde e Mare" Luxury Apartments & Villas in Kefalonia.
